Probes Point to Northrop Grumman Errors NOT SpaceX in Spy-Satellite Failure

Andy Pasztor reports for WSJ:

Government and industry experts have tentatively concluded that engineering and testing errors by Northrop Grumman Corp. caused a U.S. spy satellite to plummet into the ocean shortly after a January launch, according to people familiar with the details.

The satellite went up on a SpaceX Falcon 9 and came back down still attached, which resulted in SpaceX taking a lot of heat initially. This seems like good news for them and a huge mistake for NG to swallow.
